DescriptionRadiant Soma emphasizes the ephemerality of human movement by visualizing motion capture data with light. The installation transforms inanimate phosphorescent structures into metaphorical shamans that accept and expel spirits generated from human movement and lasers. Visitors can engage with the work on three levels: as a viewer of dance manifested through light, as a reader of embodied memory records, and in contemplation of the energies being expelled.
