DescriptionSelf-shaping textiles, which undergo 2D-to-3D transformation after fabrication, are not well represented by current design software. This paper describes a simulation-assisted workflow that gives designers valuable information about how these fabrics will relax into shape. Our demonstration is a textile-centric chair integrating multiple woven behaviors for usability, comfort, and aesthetics.
