DescriptionThis session is for attendees interested in finding out how Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality (VR/AR/MR) technology can help to unleash the creativity of students and increase their interest in technology. You will hear the perspectives of ten students who were selected from a national pool of applicants to attend a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program and undertake multidisciplinary research projects in Immersive 3D Visualization and VR/AR/MR. The students will discuss how the creative potential of Immersive 3D technology can attract and broaden participation of women and underrepresented minorities in STEM and computing fields.
