DescriptionThe New York Times used archival materials, data, and maps to make a 3D visualization of the African-American neighborhood of Greenwood (Tulsa, Oklahoma), before it was destroyed in the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. We will discuss the use of geo-spatial data analysis, 3D, and machine-learning to re-create the lost neighborhood.
