We are looking for a talented VFX Assistant Editor / IO Coordinator to join our dynamic team! Apply now to join us.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for shepherding all major data traffic in, out and through the VFX Pipeline
· Responsible for QC checks on material being sent out to clients (correct color, no zero byte frames, slates, correct speed changes, resizes, etc)
· Responsible for sending deliverables based on show playlists
· Communicate frequently with VFX Editors/Producers/Coordinators about ingest or deliverable status and provide accurate estimates to completion
· Download from client severs or pull VFX plates and elements from dailies or provided source media using client-provided bins & EDLs; convert and rename to required ghost standards format for projects
· May require morning/evening hours and weekends during peak season
· Work with Editors to manage SAN storage and capacity with Systems and back up shows as needed
· Work with Editors to create and maintain database of show I/O tech specifications
Required Skills:
· Ability to learn new software/hardware quickly
· Will be trained in Terminal/Bash, ADA archive software, Shotgrid
· Extremely detail oriented. Duties include QC of deliveries
· Able to work independently; stay calm & motivated under heavy deadline pressure
· Positive team player
· Proactive problem solver, quick learner with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
· Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with SAN data management and secure transfer methods (Aspera, SFTP, etc.)
· Terminal/Bash skills and Shotgrid experience a plus
Education:
· High School education or equivalent required.
· BA/BS in applicable field preferred.
