DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Desktop Administrator position reports to the Manager of Systems Operations. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting production systems hardware and software related issues. The position also plays an integral role in assuring the artists can work and function on a productive level with minimal to no downtime due to technical complications.
MAIN DUTIES:
Deploy and maintain workstations, software, and other infrastructure that runs our operations.
Quickly diagnose and resolve infrastructure hardware and software issues.
Maintain and ensure compliance with our security policies.
Identify any risks to production systems integrity and coordinate remediation projects with other team members.
Address a variety of complex problems with clear focus and concise communication while servicing Production needs within a fast -paced dynamic environment.
Organize and resolve tickets and requests submitted via email or on our helpdesk system in a timely manner.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Previous experience as a desktop administrator in a VFX/Animation studio in a feature or episodic environment.
Knowledge and experience of VFX/Animation pipeline tools and supporting technologies.
Excellent Customer Service and proven communication skills – must be a team player (hard requirement).
Degree in Computer Information Systems or related certificates preferred.
General understanding of security practices: (i.e. MPAA, Disney, ISO 27001, TPN).
Flexibility with hours is required; may include nights/weekends at times to cover production needs.
Desktop support experience including but not limited to:
Workstations, laptops, printers, multiple display devices, IP phones, and peripherals.
Production applications (Maya, Nuke, Adobe, Toon Boom, other studio software) as well as O365 email and other Microsoft applications.
Basic network troubleshooting skills.
Windows, OSX, linux platforms.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
