DescriptionFoveated rendering enables efficient rendering for head-mounted displays by reducing image quality in the periphery. We propose a novel enhancement technique that further reduces the computational cost by replacing fine spatial details with inexpensive procedural noise tuned to the underlying content and the limitations of human perception.
