DescriptionWe introduce the Hierarchical Subspace Iteration Method (HSIM), a multigrid solver for sparse eigenproblems on surfaces. HSIM executes subspace iterations on a multigrid hierarchy and thereby substantially reduces the computational effort spent on the finest grid. We show that HSIM outperforms state-of-the-art eigensolvers on Laplace-Beltrami eigenproblems.
