DescriptionThis paper proposes a MCMC rendering algorithm based on a family of guided transition kernels which are created by exploiting the properties of ensembles of light transport paths. This algorithm makes informed decisions for guiding local path sampling, is easy to parallelize, and leads to a reduction in variance.
