DescriptionWe measured the discrepancy between human perception of motion differences and computed motion differences. In our experiment, human participants rated the similarity of hand motions. We found that popular motion similarity metrics do not correlate with human perception. We conclude that there is demand for a perceptual motion similarity metric.
