Vibeke Sorensen
Biography
Vibeke Sorensen is an artist and professor working in digital multimedia and experimental animation, immersive and interactive installation, and networked visual music. She has taught and built programs in new media at institutions including California Institute of the Arts, Princeton University, the University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinematic Arts, and Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Her research and creative work has been supported by the New York State Council on the Arts, the National Science Foundation, the USC Annenberg Center for Communication, Intel Corporation, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Since 2021, she has been associate faculty at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna. From 2021-2022 she was Visiting Scholar in the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) at Stanford University.
