Barbara Meier teaches computer animation at Brown University. Her research and production interests include non-photorealistic rendering and creating tools for artists that build on artists’ preferred working methods. She is an avid oil painter focused on landscapes and seascapes from her travels.
Previously, Meier created visual effects for feature films in Hollywood primarily at PDI. She developed a painterly rendering technique at Walt Disney Feature Animation. She received AB and ScM degrees in Computer Science from Brown.
