I have been going to SIGGRAPH since 1989. I have seen the evolution of graphics technology for the past quarter century. Now I am Founder and CEO of Pixilica, LLC (www.pixilica.com), a company focused on designing tiny powerful machines that can be embedded into many tight spaces with many use cases. I am also very fond of retro computing and the 3d graphics of the 80's and 90's. But we are also embracing the modern era. We have partnered with SiFive and the RISC-V movement to disrupt tiny computing spaces with powerful configurable platforms that can dramatically affect the way we interact with technology. Indeed "ambient computing" is going to be the future and we want to develop a 3d graphics processor for this space.
