Paulo Majano is an artist based in Surrey, BC. Born in El Salvador, he holds an MFA from UBC. Since moving to Metro Vancouver in 1992, he has presented exhibitions and public art projects that invite viewers to observe anew familiar places where human endeavor and the natural landscape coexist and often collide. In current projects, he draws from different forms of image making including photography, computer-generated imagery, and Augmented Reality, to produce installations where the virtual and the physical can be experienced simultaneously. Paulo is Faculty of Digital Media and Photography at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
