Born in Kyoto Japan, Mayumi Tachikawa spent several years as Manager of a venture incubation center, where she was involved with various new industries including CG animation/games, at the same time some traditional industries of Kyoto such as classic film industry (Kyoto is home to Toei/Shochiku). After coming to Tokyo, she was in charge of financing/HR/legal of a talent agency, until she joined Marza Animation Planet in 2011. Among numerous other chief operating roles, she has rocketed through Coordinator, Manager, Executive Officer and most recently Senior Vice President at Marza Animation Planet Inc., overseeing such projects as Sonic the Hedgehog I and II, Lupin III the First, Assassination Classroom, Captain Harlock and Chi’s Sweet Adventure Seasons 1-2.
