Born in Montreal, Brent Forrest is a film director living in Tokyo. He started his career as a gopher at Red Rover studios in Toronto in 1999. There he learned the craft of animation from some of Canada's finest draftsmen. In 2019, together with Tobias Schlage he created the short film Like and Follow which won over 30 international film awards (And incidentally also premiered at Siggraph). After a 24-year career in animation he's pivoted into programming full time, and on the side enjoys making films and building tools for animation and VFX artists. Samurai Frog Golf is his directorial debut at Marza Animation Planet.
