Michael Lorenzen is a Crowds Technical Supervisor at Pixar Animation Studios with credits on over 20 films, including “Toy Story”, “Monsters Inc.”, "Ratatouille", "Wall-E", "Up", "Cars 2", "Brave", and "Soul". While he has held various positions in character modeling and rigging, effects, and simulation, his current specialty is crowd simulation. He is responsible for the simulation and rendering of numerous crowd features, including cars in the "Cars" films, the flock of birds in "The Good Dinosaur", and schools of fish in "Finding Dory". Michael was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and earned his BSE in Computer Engineering at Tulane University.
