Simon is an experienced and talented Compositing Supervisor with over ten years of expertise in visual effects. Simon draws on his personal love of photography to lead his team in creating photoreal shots and seamlessly blending CG elements into plate photography. His calm, laid back demeanor and approachable leadership style helps to bring together teams that enjoy pushing the boundaries of visual effects compositing at Digital Domain.

Most recently, as Compositing Supervisor, Simon worked on Sony’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” where he oversaw the epic showdown between Doc Ock and Spiderman on New York's Alexander Hamilton bridge. Additionally, he and his team also lent their talents to the “WandaVision” series finale, which was nominated for an HPA award for Outstanding Visual Effects - Episodic.

Simon began his visual effects journey in Singapore in 2009 with ILM before moving to Canada where he joined the Digital Domain Vancouver team in 2016, working on blockbuster films including “Ready Player One” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” Soon after, Simon moved into a Lead Compositor role for Digital Domain’s VES-nominated compositing work on Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow.” Other projects under Simon’s credit roster include films such as “Power Rangers,” “Captain Marvel,” “Iron Man 2,” “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” “Battleship,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and “Edge of Tomorrow.”
