Biography
Valérie Gaveau is Associate Professor at the Institute of Science and Technique for Rehabilitation and member of the Research Center of Neurosciences (Lyon). She has longstanding expertise in both teaching and research on the nervous system. Her research interests focus on the sensori-motor adaptation domain as well as sensori-motor plasticity following stroke, in both human and non-human primates’ models. Expert in the kinematics analysis of 3D movements, virtual reality technologies and visual integration in action, on which she has authored several articles. By her collaborations, she specializes on multisensorial processes for motor control and plasticity in rehabilitation in deaf patients
